In this phenomenon show, broadcast in nearly 30 countries, eleven singles are gathered in a villa under the eye of the cameras.

The objective: to find love, thanks to one-on-one meetings but also events proposed by the viewers themselves on a dedicated application.

W9 announced on Thursday that it would soon be launching a new dating show:

Love Island

.

A format already sold in nearly 30 countries, the show is based on a new form of reality TV: real-time interaction with the public, like a previous program on the channel: Les

Cinquante

.

The principle is simple: eleven singles meet in a villa to try to find love.

And to help them in their quest, viewers, via a dedicated application, themselves offer one-on-ones and tests between the candidates.

Like Les

Cinquante

, this interaction constitutes the true particularity of the show of seduction, leaving the power in the hands of the public.

And

Love Island

will be broadcast in 2023, daily on W9.

However, this is not the first time that the program has appeared in France.

It had already been tested by the Amazon Prime Video platform, with the high priestess of French reality TV as presenter: Nabilla.

An overhaul of the version of Amazon Prime Video?

It was in 2020 and the filming had to be cut short due to the health crisis.

According to a relative of the TV star, contacted by

Europe 1

, Nabilla will not be at the helm of this new version of W9.

Quite simply because it has signed an exclusive contract with Amazon and therefore does not have the right to present a program elsewhere.

And for the record, she will host a new dating program on Amazon from January 7, a program called Cosmic Love.

So again, love!
