Jinjiang, located on the southeast coast of China, is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Quanzhou City, Fujian Province.

During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Jinjiang's "Quanzhou Citong Ancient Port" was known as "the largest port in the East" and was an important starting point of the Maritime Silk Road.

  "Ten households and nine households of overseas Chinese", Jinjiang City is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese.

Here, "the valley is densely populated and the valley is barren". Since ancient times, people have had the entrepreneurial impulse of "building boats to reach foreign lands", which has prompted Jinjiang people to gradually go overseas.

According to statistics, there are as many as 3 million overseas Chinese in Jinjiang, which is three times the local population of Jinjiang, and its overseas Chinese groups spread across more than 60 countries and regions around the world.
