Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi filed a criminal complaint against four former and current executives, including CEO Kwon Jin-young of his former agency, Hook Entertainment.

Lee Seung-gi's legal representative said on the 22nd, "Lee Seung-gi filed a complaint with the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office this morning against Kwon Jin-young, CEO of Hook Entertainment, and other current and former directors."

Lee Seung-gi's side said, "Hook Entertainment hid the fact that music sales were generated from Lee Seung-gi for about 18 years after his debut and did not settle it." , said that they had sued for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (fraud).

In addition, Lee Seung-gi's side claimed that former and current directors of Hook Entertainment deceived Lee Seung-gi and swindled some of the advertising model fees.

Lee Seung-gi's side said, "Lee Seung-gi knew that about 10% of his advertising modeling fees were paid to advertising agencies in the name of so-called 'agency fees' for several years, but in reality, former and current directors of Hook Entertainment did not pay some of the above agency fees to advertising agencies. It seems to have been shared without it."

Lee Seung-gi's side said, "When Lee Seung-gi objected to this, Hook Entertainment finally admitted the fact and paid Lee Seung-gi about 630 million won in advertising fees and delayed interest separately from the sound source fees around December 16, 2022." as "

In addition, Lee Seung-gi's side emphasized, "We have never reached an agreement with Hook Entertainment on the settlement of music fees."

Previously, Hook Entertainment said on the 16th that it had remitted about 4.81 billion won to Lee Seung-gi under the pretext of unpaid music bills, and filed a lawsuit to confirm the non-existence of debt, although it could not reach an agreement with Lee Seung-gi.

Regarding this, Lee Seung-gi's side said, "Lee Seung-gi first learned about Hook Entertainment's lawsuit through media reports, and he has not yet been served with a complaint for the above lawsuit." There is a significant difference from the settlement amount that is being made. Therefore, Lee Seung-gi will respond to Hook Entertainment's lawsuit for non-existence of debt and at the same time file a counterclaim to claim unpaid music fee settlement and damages for illegal acts against Hook Entertainment and related parties. "he explained.

Lee Seung-gi's side said, "We will do our best to reveal the exact truth related to this case during the trial so that no more similar victims will occur."
