Black Adam will not be in the "first chapter" of the DC Universe.

This was announced by Dwayne Johnson after talking with James Gunn, the new boss of DC studios.

The actor posted a message on Twitter to announce this sad news to fans.

“Black Adam will not be in the first chapter of the story.

However, DC and Seven Bucks (Dwayne Johnson's production company) have agreed to continue exploring the most valid ways Black Adam can be used in future chapters of the DC Multiverse,” the former wrestler wrote.

Words confirmed by James Gunn, who replied that he was “looking forward to seeing what (Dwayne Johnson) will do with Seven Bucks afterwards”, adding: “I look forward to working together again.

Renewal

Since joining the management of DC Films alongside Peter Safran, James Gunn has made several announcements that have upset fans.

Henry Cavill has announced that he will not be reprising his role as Superman.

As for Gal Gadot, her future as Wonder Woman is still uncertain.

Released last October, the film

Black Adam

did not meet with the expected success, casting doubt on a possible sequel.

To date, the feature film has grossed $391 million at the worldwide box office (against a budget of $195 million, plus marketing costs).

Despite this "failure", Dwayne Johnson only praises James Gunn, whom he has known for years.

High choirs, and a little more patience before seeing Black Adam again on the big screen.
