In Nanbu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture, as a return gift for the hometown tax, a new guitar repair, which is rare nationwide, has been added since last month.

In Nanbu Town, we have been preparing specialty tea and bamboo shoots as return gifts for hometown tax donations, but since last month, a studio in the town that repairs guitars for professional musicians has broken down. A new repair service has been added.

For example, if the bridge, which is the part that holds the strings of the guitar and transmits vibrations to the main body, breaks, we will replace it with a new part made from wood.

According to the town, it is rare nationwide to repair guitars as return gifts for hometown tax donations.

Mr. Katsuya Sano, a guitar repair shop, said, "I think it would be interesting if we could repair many broken guitars that can no longer be played."

Mr. Ryosuke Sano of Nanbu Town's planning department said, "I want to appeal to the whole country that there are people in Nanbu Town who have wonderful skills, such as repairing guitars."
