The jury would have preferred not to see photos of Harvey Weinstein's deformed genitals.

The alleged victims' descriptions of the former Hollywood mogul's penis and scrotum repeatedly caused horror in court in Los Angeles.

A Russian model residing in Italy, anonymously identified as Jane Doe #1, testified that Weinstein had no testicles.

"It was just empty skin," she recalled of the 70-year-old's assault during a film festival in 2013.

The film producer is said to have met Jane Doe No. 1 in a room at the “Mr.

C Beverly Hills” and forced to have sex.

“His penis was repulsive.

It looked like it had been chopped off and sewn back on," actress Lauren Young recalled.

The thirty-two-year-old, named Jane Doe #2 in court documents, was allegedly groped by Weinstein nine years earlier before masturbating in front of her.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom's wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, testified about the defendant's "fish-like penis."

Weinstein allegedly raped the documentary filmmaker, whom he met after her liaison with George Clooney, at a meeting in 2005.

"His body had yellow and green spots, abrasions and stretch marks," said California's first lady, the No. 4 Jane Doe on the witness list.

Assistant District Attorney Paul Thompson told the jury early in October that Weinstein had had a section of his scrotum removed following a bacterial infection of his genital area (Fournier's gangrene).

Part of the strategy was for the prosecution to present every detail of the adhesions to the jury.

How could the alleged victims of Weinstein's atypical genitalia have known if not through rape or sexual abuse?

The prosecution's strategy only partially worked.

After more than 40 hours of deliberations, the jury on Monday found Weinstein guilty of raping the Russian-Italian model, Jane Doe No. 1, almost ten years ago.

The jury, three women and nine men, acquitted the fallen film producer of the allegation of sexually abusing a masseuse, anonymously identified as Jane Doe No. 3, in 2010.

The tearful statements of the Californian First Lady Siebel Newsom and the actress Young did not convince all jury members either.

Since the jury could not agree on Jane Does #2 and #4, Presiding Judge Lisa Lench declared three of the seven counts a mistrial.

District Attorney George Gascón, who is known for his rather mild sentences, left open on Monday whether Weinstein is now expecting further criminal proceedings in Los Angeles.

After the rape and sexual assault conviction in a New York court two and a half years ago, the California judiciary also opened a criminal case against Weinstein.

From 2004 to 2013 he allegedly sexually assaulted Siebel Newsom, Young, another actress and a masseuse in Southern California.

"Weinstein's defense attorneys put me through hell"

Weinstein's defense attorney Alan Jackson, on the other hand, called the allegations fictitious in his closing argument.

There had been sexual encounters with Siebel Newsom, Young and the two other witnesses.

However, they were said to have been voluntary, since the women had hoped in return for Weinstein's help with their Hollywood careers.

After the verdict, which Weinstein received impassively in the courtroom, Jane Doe No. 1 thanked the prosecution.

"Weinstein's defense attorneys put me through hell on the witness stand.

I hope he stays in a prison cell for the rest of his life," she said.

The model's wish could come true.

After being found guilty of raping the native Russian, Weinstein faces between 18 and 24 years in prison in Los Angeles.

In New York, the former mastermind of the American film industry had already been sentenced to 23 years.
