With the opening of the Nishikyushu Shinkansen in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, the Shinkansen, the expressway, and the national highway intersect in a three-dimensional way. It's decided.

With the opening of the Nishikyushu Shinkansen line connecting Takeo Onsen Station and Nagasaki Station in September this year in Higashikawanobori-cho, Takeo City, a place where the Shinkansen, the elevated Nishikyushu Expressway, and National Route 34 intersect was born. However, a council formed by local residents was soliciting nicknames for the unusual scenery.

As a result of the examination by the council, the nickname was decided as "West Kyushu Cross Kawanobori" from more than 1000 applications from all over the country.

According to the council, the name "Kawanobori" of this area is included, and it was evaluated that it is a base where multiple roads intersect.

In the vicinity, there is a city road where cosmos bloom along the road in autumn, and it is said that they will strengthen their PR as a new tourist spot locally.

Mr. Kazuyoshi Eguchi, who serves as the secretariat of the association, said, "The intersection is located exactly between Takeo Onsen Station and Ureshino Onsen Station, so after stopping by the hot springs, I would like you to come to the site."
