Regarding the development status of Japan's new main rocket "H3", JAXA = Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency explained that there will be no problem with the first launch within this year, such as the results of the engine combustion test conducted last month were good. Did.

JAXA held an online press conference on the development status of "H3" on the 20th.

In it, Project Manager Masashi Okada explained that good results were obtained from rocket engine combustion tests conducted last month at the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture as the final stage of development.

On top of that, he said that there would be no problem with the launch of the first satellite within this fiscal year, which is the goal.

Project Manager Okada said, "It's been a long road so far. We will take the necessary measures based on the tests, and we will do our best to prepare for the launch."

"H3" aims to compete overseas in the rocket launch business, so development is underway with the goals of increasing the weight that can be carried into space and halving the launch cost. It is also planned to be used for the "Artemis Project" to explore the moon as a foothold.
