After the drama 'Descendants of the Sun', writer Kim Eun-sook and actress Song Hye-kyo, who met again in a revenge play, shared their impressions of playing a victim of school violence.

Today (20th) Song Hye-kyo attended the Netflix original series 'The Glory' production presentation held in Dongdaemun, Seoul.

'The Glory' is a story about a woman whose soul was shattered by violence in her childhood, who risked her entire life to meticulously prepare desperate revenge and those who fall into the vortex of it.

Song Hye-kyo, who played the role of 'Moon Dong-eun', who was subjected to severe school violence in high school, said, "When I read the script, my heart hurt so much and I was blank for a while." I thought that if I was really good at it, a good work would come out.”

He went on to explain, "Anyway, I've done a lot of melodramas in the past, so the images I see in 'The Glory' may seem unfamiliar, but it was very difficult, but I really enjoyed acting."

In addition, Song Hye-kyo said, "I thought it was a genre and a character that I wanted to try so much. I was always very hungry for a role like this, but I thought I finally met it."

When asked what part she paid attention to while playing the role of a victim of school violence, Song Hye-kyo said, "The young 'Dong-eun' was defenseless and suffered pain and hurt, but the adult 'Dong-eun' is a character who takes revenge on the perpetrators. I focused on showing a solid appearance rather than my appearance."

Finally, Song Hye-kyo said, "(The role of the victim) was emotionally difficult and there were many sad moments. I had difficulty expressing it, but I tried to be faithful to the script." I felt a sense of joy,” he added.
