On the night of the 16th, Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress visited a museum in Tokyo to appreciate the national treasure "Yohen Tenmoku," which is said to be one of only a few in the world.

After 7:00 pm on the 16th, Their Majesties visited the Seikado Bunko Museum in Marunouchi, Tokyo, and viewed an exhibition of tea utensils and swords collected by the Iwasaki family, who founded the Mitsubishi Zaibatsu.

Of these, the National Treasure “Yohen Tenmoku” is a tea bowl made in China around the 12th and 13th centuries, and is characterized by spots created by chemical changes in the ingredients of the glaze.

After hearing from the curator that there are only three pieces in nearly perfect condition that exist in the world, the Empress was asked about the glaze, "What are the ingredients?" It means that it was said.

The exhibition "Resonant Treasures -Yohen Rimpa Shine-" is open until the 18th.
