At the time of her miscarriage, Meghan Markle was in the midst of a legal battle against the Associated Newspapers, publisher of the 

Daily Mail, 

which published an intimate letter sent to her father in August 2018.

Harry points to the stress generated by this case

"If my wife had a miscarriage, it's the

Mail

's fault ," assures Harry, who makes a direct link between this affair and the loss of his wife's baby.

"Do we really know if the miscarriage is due to that? Of course not. But thinking of all the stress generated, the lack of sleep and the pregnancy... The lack of sleep and the pregnancy... This weeks pregnant...I can tell from what I saw that this miscarriage was a result of what they were doing to her."

After this painful ordeal, Meghan Markle became pregnant with her second child, little Lilibet, born June 4, 2021.
