Each episode of the
Harry & Meghan docuseries
confirms it: the couple has no intention of sparing the royal family at all.
The last salvo, broadcast this Thursday, was no exception to the rule, and one episode in particular calls out: the fourth.
Meghan Markle talks about her suicidal thoughts, and she does not hesitate to directly accuse the royal institution of having simply … prevented her from receiving the medical help she needed.
“I wanted to be helped (by doctors), but I had no right.
They were concerned about the image it would give to the institution…”, declares Meghan Markle facing the camera in the series.
And Prince Harry to outbid: “They knew how serious it was.
They wondered why she couldn't just deal with the situation, as if to say, "You know, everyone has dealt with the situation. Why couldn't she deal with it? was different. It was really different".
angry and ashamed
Meghan Markle managed to get out of her dark thoughts, but without the help of the royal family, therefore.
A schism between the Sussexes and the institution which does not seem ready to close.
It is Prince Harry who also explains that he has, since leaving England, made a conscious choice to no longer be the one he had been conditioned to become from an early age.
“What took over my feelings was my royal duty.
I was trained to worry more about what other people would think if we didn't go to such an event.
Looking back, I hate myself for it.
What she needed was so much more than I was able to give her.
And the fact that it got to this point, I felt angry and ashamed…” he confessed.
