The Weihai Maritime Search and Rescue Center immediately launched an emergency response, and carried out the rescue quickly in accordance with the principle of "nearest and quickest". The Weihai Maritime Safety Administration dispatched three nearby merchant ships including the "Yushun 677" and "Liyun" to suspend their voyage plans. After the search and rescue force arrived at the scene of the incident, the Weihai Maritime Search and Rescue Center, considering the characteristics of the fishing boat's low side and flexible operation, ordered the "Yushun 677" to monitor the scene and take advantage of the fishing boat's lower freeboard and fast personnel transfer to transfer the fishermen in distress.

After nearly an hour of intensive rescue, the seven fishermen on board "Jichangyu 02184" were finally safely transferred to "Luweiyu 61787".
