Tomorrow, the activities of the Samalia Spring Forum 2022, organized by the Emirates Heritage Club, will start for its affiliated students on Samalia Island, with the participation of its youth and women’s centers, and it will continue until December 23.

Rashid Khadim Al-Rumaithi, Acting Director of Activities Department at the club, said that this forum is one of the oldest forums organized by the club, adding that this year’s session is held under the slogan “Our Heritage”, which is the same slogan for the “The Most Beautiful Winter in the World” campaign launched by His Highness. Al-Rumaithi pointed out that the forum is a journey into the past, giving youth and youth an opportunity to get close to the legacy of their fathers and grandfathers, and to make them acquainted through programs supervised by elite trainers and heritage experts with the vocabulary of life in the past in the Emirates.

He added that the forum focuses on a set of goals, the most important of which is introducing young people and participating youth to the concept of national identity, enhancing their sense of belonging, and instilling values ​​and concepts in them so that they can link between the past and the present.

The forum’s programs for boys and girls include a wide range of elements of Emirati heritage, foremost of which are waterfront workshops, through which participants learn about the country’s rich maritime heritage, heritage ship tours around the island to get acquainted with its environmental surroundings, camel activities, equestrianism, and falconry, which come It serves as a window through which the participants look into the past, to know how the life of parents and grandparents was, in addition to popular games, swimming, and a visit to the ecological mangrove walkway on the island, which is about 900 meters long, to get to know closely the environment of the mangrove trees, and to visit the house of Ali bin Hassan, in addition to To drawing and coloring activities, traditional handicraft workshops, and other daily workshops.
