Since the broadcast of the first three episodes of

Harry & Meghan

, the documentary produced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to tell their truth, there has been a bit of disillusionment.

After the footage used by the couple to illustrate their daily harassment by the media was debunked in the trailer – which was in part videos of photographers waiting for other public figures at events where they were not – c It's Buckingham Palace's turn to react.

If the official residence of Charles III has (yet) made no comment on the remarks made by the son of the king and his daughter-in-law, it wanted to restore a truth.

From the first episode, the viewer is indeed warned that “members of the royal family have declined to react to the content of this series”.

A variable “truth”

However, as relayed by the BBC, Buckingham Palace has denied having been approached by a member of the film crew.

And Prince William's official residence, Kensington Palace, also denied refusing to respond to solicitations.

Representatives for Prince Harry's brother said they only received an email from a "third-party production company from the address of an unknown organization."

They asked for "verification with Netflix and Archewell Productions", the company of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle... who never answered them!

After the manipulation of the images, this is another blow to the credibility of the couple, one of whose main battles, trumpeted loud and clear for several years, is… the fight against misinformation from the “media”.

A mission which is also the very reason for the existence of the documentary

Harry & Meghan

.

“No one knows the whole truth.

We know the whole truth," said Prince Harry in the first trailer for their project, and Meghan Markle added: "When the stakes are this high, isn't it more sensible to hear our story from our stuffy ?

Clearly, things are off to a bad start...
