George of the jungle

is a nice film for children, released in 1997, and inspired by the adventures of the famous Tarzan.

The title role was played by Brendan Fraser.

Except that getting into the skin of the character was not without consequences on his health!

series , the jungle hero explained that filming wasn't a cakewalk.

While his plastic may have impressed more than one spectator, Brendan Fraser revealed that it had been at the cost of great effort!

The poor actor was on the strictest no-carb diet.

Which did not go without affecting the functioning of his neurons.

“I was starved of carbs.

I was driving home from work and stopping to grab something to eat.

One day I needed some money, I went to the ATM, and I couldn't remember my code because my brain was freaking out.

(I) was hitting the thing.

I had not eaten that night, ”he confided, recalling in passing that his skin was covered with a wax, like the one used by bodybuilders.

A loincloth

While Adam Sandler referenced the mock Tarzan costume, Brendan Fraser was as sketchy as his stage attire.

"The wardrobe, there was none," said the 54-year-old actor, adding, "George eats bananas, rocks all day and wears a loincloth."

A loincloth with rather reduced proportions, moreover.

The Sam Weisman film, which also brought together Leslie Mann and Thomas Haden Church in the cast, was a success and brought in more than 170 million dollars.
