JAXA = In connection with the problem that the research team of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency was rewriting experimental data, JAXA reported that astronaut Satoshi Furukawa, who was in charge, grasped the mix-up of blood samples. I explained that I was procrastinating, and I am considering disposing of the people involved.

This problem was discovered that two researchers were rewriting data in an experiment conducted by JAXA from 2016 to the next year to examine the stress on the human body in an environment where communication is not possible for future planetary exploration. This is what I did.

JAXA apologized on the 25th of last month, saying, "We judged that it was an act that should be called fabrication and falsification."

According to JAXA, the research team also made a mistake with the collected blood samples, and Astronaut Furukawa, who is in charge, made a report to the ethics review committee that reviews research misconduct while understanding this mistake. It is said that it was postponed for about a month and instructed to continue the investigation with the remaining samples.

JAXA understands that Astronaut Furukawa did not respond appropriately, and is considering disciplinary action against those involved.

JAXA President Hiroshi Yamakawa said at a press conference, "Astronaut Furukawa, as the responsible person, should have reported the error to the ethics review committee immediately before the verification."

Astronaut Furukawa plans to board an American spacecraft and stay at the International Space Station as early as next year.
