From Washington, where he has gone into exile, Succès Masra, president of the opposition party Les Transformateurs, hopes to be able to convince the heads of state of the UN, but also of the European Union, to react to the political situation in Chad. .

He fled following the demonstrations of October 20 to contest the decision of the junta to extend the transitional regime in Chad, and to allow its leader, Mahamat Idriss Déby, to stand in the next presidential election.

Between 50 and 200 dead are to be deplored, many injured and imprisoned.

The son of former president Idriss Déby and the junta then accused Succès Masra of being behind his protests, as he had been denied the post of prime minister.

He therefore fled to Cameroon, before joining Washington, where he pleaded Chad's cause with the United Nations.

For him, "no one can believe the lies of the generals led by Déby junior, who lied to the whole world (...) and to the Chadian people".

He wants to defend his people's right to self-determination.

However, Success Masra affirms that "Déby junior" had already planned to ask him to be his Prime Minister last June, but on condition of accepting a dynastic succession in the country, which the opponent refused.

According to him, some people killed come from the south of the country and are Christians: Mahamat Idriss Déby would like to provoke a civil war, to better dominate the country.
