A grieving husband asks his wife for $140 million in compensation for her absence

When Ludwig Michaud was enjoying a camping trip with his bride, Ether Nakajiko, 25, and in an ordinary moment, when a metal gate fell on his wife because of the strong winds, cutting off her head completely, the car split in two, leaving him in shock from which he still suffers until now.

Although the tragedy dates back to 2020, its details are still continuing to this day, as the husband Ludwig, who recently sued, filed a claim for compensation of approximately $ 140 million in compensation for her absence from his life, and that he was so traumatized that he is still unable to bear the smell. Copper says the millions of dollars sought in damages are justified because his late wife was so special.

Ironically, it turned out that the victim, Ether, was wearing a T-shirt that read: "Everything hurts and I'm dying" on the day of the tragic accident, to mock her husband and his love of camping.

The unfortunate woman was born into extreme poverty in Uganda before working to improve the lives of local girls and winning an award from the United Nations at the age of 17.

Her husband believes that the required compensation is tantamount to compensating for her absence and thus the assumption that she should do important and distinguished things.

Court documents confirmed that the gate had been unlocked for two weeks before the disaster, despite national park requirements that supposedly prevent gates from swinging open.

Assistant US Attorney Geoffrey Nelson criticized the amounts sought and said the demands were too high and he believed the settlement would propose $3.5m (£2.8m) for non-economic damages and $752,000 (£617,000) for economic damages.

The case is still in the courts, according to the Daily Star.
