The Archive and the National Library are participating in the "Memory of the Nation" platform in the Sheikh Zayed Festival, out of keenness to enrich the festival with the historical dimension and with the aim of strengthening belonging to the homeland and loyalty to the wise leadership, consolidating national identity, and instilling national values ​​and principles of good citizenship in the hearts of generations.

The "Memory of the Nation" platform at the festival was full of historical documents, photographs and national documentaries, which were able to acquaint visitors to the festival with the ancient history of the Emirates, especially in the period from the establishment of the UAE Federation in 1971 until today and for more than 51 years.

The "Memory of the Nation" platform informs visitors of the achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, "may God rest his soul," in various sectors such as education, health, agriculture, sports and other vital sectors, supported by photos and videos.

The visitor to the platform can learn about the rulers of the emirates of the country, in addition to presenting the life story of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, from his birth until his death, “may God have mercy on him.”

Visitors to the "Memory of the Nation" platform will be able to learn about the achievements of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and illustrated examples of the words of his highness, in addition to a presentation of the country's achievements in terms of urban development and the development achieved by the health and education sectors and international relations between the Emirates and others. from the countries of the world.

Hamad Al Zaabi, director of the National Memory Platform project in the Archives and National Library, said that the Sheikh Zayed Festival is developing year after year, explaining that the Archives and the National Library are working through the "Memory of the Nation" pavilion to provide a historical overview of the achievements of the United Arab Emirates supported by national photos and documentaries. .

He added that we were keen to make the information presented easy, clear and in a simple language suitable for all ages of visitors, pointing out that the exhibits open the door for the recipient (visitor) to search and explore.

Al-Zaabi said, "We seek to encourage young people to acquire important historical and contemporary information, and we are trying to convey a message to the public that this history must be preserved, whether you are an employee, researcher, official, or otherwise. It is your role to preserve history for future generations."

The project manager of the "Memory of the Nation" platform pointed out that the festival is an opportunity to communicate with a large segment of the public, with the aim of consolidating and strengthening national identity and authentic national values, and to learn about the customs and traditions of the UAE society and the Gulf region.

Al Zaabi stressed that the Archive and the National Library deserve the role it plays in the national upbringing of generations, because it is the custodian of the nation’s memory and a history full of achievements, championships and success stories that inculcate positive values ​​in the hearts of generations, and qualify them to be future leaders who preserve the country’s gains and capabilities, and inform young people of the experiences of leaders. The homeland and the national personalities and their experiences that enhance their knowledge, love of the homeland and loyalty to its great leaders.
