In anticipation of the Osaka-Kansai Expo in 2025, the new trains that Osaka Metro has been developing have been released to the press.

The Osaka Metro Chuo Line is scheduled to be extended to Yumeshima, the site of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, and the company has been developing new rolling stock for the first time in 12 years in anticipation of the Expo.

On the 7th, before the introduction from April next year, the new vehicle was released to the press.

The exterior is designed in the image of a spaceship, and the front of the vehicle is made to look like glass.

Also, in anticipation of many foreign tourists visiting, the trains are equipped with liquid crystal displays that display operation information in four languages, including English and Chinese, as well as charging facilities for smartphones and other devices.

In addition, the driver and conductor can check the video of the security camera in the car in real time, and a system that automatically adjusts the temperature in the car according to the congestion situation is adopted.

Yoshiharu Yagi, director of vehicle management at Osaka Metro, said, "Since it will be a vehicle that will drive into the Expo venue, we would like to proceed so that people who ride it will be excited."

Osaka Metro plans to introduce 23 trainsets of this new model by April 2025, when the Expo opens.
