Rapper Boatman (Kim Jin-woo, 36) was put on trial for filming illegal footage and distributing it in KakaoTalk group chat rooms.

According to the legal community, the Western District Prosecutor's Office indicted the boatman without detention for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (filming and distribution using cameras, etc.).

The first trial will be held on January 16 at the Seoul Western District Court.

On July 19, 2018, the boatman was accused of illegally filming Mr. A, who was dating at the time, sleeping with all his tops off, and then distributing it in a KakaoTalk group chat room with about 20 acquaintances.

In May, when this fact became controversial, the boatman surrendered himself to the police station, saying, 'I will pay for my crime'.

In the process, criticism arose as a representative of the boatman's agency caused secondary damage, such as exposing the victim's identity.

The Mapo Police Station sent the boatman to the prosecution last September for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (filming and distribution using cameras, etc.).
