With these optimistic words, the young woman and entrepreneur Reem Al-Ammari began her dialogue with Emirates Today, stressing that adventure, lack of fear of failure and positivity led her to achieve part of her dreams.

She pointed out that the start of her journey with emerging projects coincided with the end of her academic experience and specialization in business administration at the American University of Sharjah, before she joined a number of training workshops and continued the process of developing her experience in this field, as Reem obtained sufficient experience and knowledge to embark on this path. And the realization of part of her dreams and success at the age of 20, as the young Emirati woman was inspired by her old love for the art of flower arrangement and her passion for technology, the idea of ​​​​creating a specialized digital platform that brings together all flower shops in the country through a “bouquet”.

Regarding the beginnings, Reem said: “I did not have the experience or the financial capabilities at that time to establish my project, and for this reason I thought of joining the programs of the Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa). Through the free training courses organized by a group of professional experts, I learned how to generate and build ideas. Creativity and the establishment of specialized companies, especially since I was afraid of venturing into this field without knowing or knowing its details and challenges, especially in light of the lack of sufficient funding and the previous experience of one of my family in this difficult field.

Reem Al-Ammari mastered the use of challenges and translated them into real successes, beginning her quest to develop her tools with a set of decisive decisions that she engaged in on an adventure challenging herself, explaining: “I decided to seriously search for programs that could add knowledge to me, and I also rushed to enter a number of competitions. And the challenges related to the worlds of entrepreneurship, achieving a victory that qualified me for the challenges of the road.

And Reem, who learned the principles of project management and building the necessary strategies in the field of successful marketing, continued: “I admit that I was afraid of the idea of ​​​​losing the financing opportunity if I did not think about presenting a creative idea to build my dream company, but I was fortunate enough to have all the mechanisms of support and financial support from the Khalifa Fund for Development Projects, in which those in charge of it believed in my idea and my ability to implement it.

Despite her realization that the journey of a thousand miles will not be easy, Reem embarked on the experience with confidence, and began searching for a pioneering idea that would constitute her first step. Whether in terms of product or service, and then geographically closest to their place of residence, in addition to providing an additional service that enables the owners of these stores to reach the target audience.

Regarding the successes achieved by her project since its inception, Reem continued: “Beginning in 2020, (Baka) succeeded in achieving its desired goals, but it faced a small logistical challenge represented in how to deliver flowers with the quality and quality that the consumer desires in all emirates of the country.

Then, we developed the idea of ​​establishing another company, which we called (Waslah), which specialized in the field of delivering roses and various refrigerated products, with their full required quality.

Once again, Reem succeeded in overcoming the difficulty of financing her new project, as she sought to conclude effective contracts with major companies and specialized shops, to deliver her products to her customers through her startup, which began to attract the interest of a large number of stakeholders, to the point where she thought of expanding her scope of work to reach To the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saying: “The beginning of this year witnessed the culmination of the success of (Waslah), after we succeeded in concluding a number of rewarding contracts with major and various institutions, hotels and restaurants.

We have also developed our logistical capabilities, bringing the number of trucks delivering customer products to 15, which roam the various emirates of the country daily to reach customers.”

In the context of these successes, Reem praised the efforts of the team working on the two projects, which she considered the pillar of success.
