A member of the Tokyo Fire Department in his 20s was arrested for defrauding an elderly woman of cash by pretending to be her younger brother. It was revealed that the list had been seized.

Firefighter Takeji Ichinohe (23), a firefighter at the Nogata Fire Department of the Tokyo Fire Department, conspired with his colleagues in August this year to make a false phone call to a woman in her 80s pretending to be her younger brother, and paid 1.1 million yen in cash. was arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of fraud.



He is said to have admitted to the charges against the investigation.



In this case, the Tokyo Fire Department revealed that the Metropolitan Police Department had seized a list of personal information of the elderly from the member's home.



The list was created by Nakano Ward, and contained the names and addresses of elderly people who needed assistance in the event of a disaster, and was kept in a locked storage room at the fire station.
