Elie Semoun was Philippe Vandel's guest on Monday December 5 in "Culture Médias" on the occasion of the release of his very first novel "Count up to you".

The 58-year-old comedian, who talks about love in his book, confided in his recent breakup with Héloïse, his companion who was much younger than him.

A year after their separation, Elie Semoun is waiting for only one thing: to find love again.

"Héloïse read the book, but it didn't bring her back"

"I hope to meet someone," he confides in front of Philippe Vandel.

"I'm fed up, yes. I've been single for a year, it bothers me. But it doesn't matter, I don't want to be the loser of love", continues Elie Semoun with humor.

The comedian struggled to recover from his breakup with Héloïse.

The writing of his book, in which he evokes his feelings for the young woman, was therapeutic.

"Héloïse read the book, she thought it was magnificent. She complimented me, telling me that no man could ever give her such a beautiful proof of love. But that didn't make her come back. When you love more, you love more", launches the star in

"The only difference was the alcohol"

Asked by Philippe Vandel about the reasons for his breakup with Héloïse, Elie Semoun explains that their separation had nothing to do with their large age gap.

"You get dumped like an old sock and then, as you are Elie Semoun, you find a way to put punchlines that we could have heard in a show, this one: 'you're so beautiful and I'm so ugly, c 'is what we call a mixed couple'. Why wasn't it a sketch?"

"But it was a sketch for a long time. I often did sketches of old people dating young people, and guys who are totally dumped because they are totally out of step. Well, that was not the case. with this Héloïse of which I speak in the book", answers the 

"In fact, the only difference between us was alcohol. Because I don't drink alcohol and she drank it. Well, she drank it, it was not a alcoholic eh, but there was a lag", underlines Elie Semoun.

"She came home at 5 a.m. and you are like the old man waiting for the young. I suffered with you that evening. Frankly, it's quite horrible", reacts Philippe Vandel, referring to an evening mentioned by Elie Semoun in
