An online petition has been launched to demand the reinstatement of the bus driver who was recently fired in Haute-Vienne.

While he had taken to dropping off a schoolgirl in front of his home for security reasons, the man was dismissed for serious misconduct, the company Europ Voyages accusing him of having made "wild stops".

No request to change stops

Renaud Lagrave, vice-president of the Region in charge of Transport, assures the newspaper that no request has been received to modify stops in the areas concerned.

The driver, employed for 17 years, defended himself, explaining that the children sometimes had to walk on dangerous roads and at night to reach the bus.
