As a measure to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, preparations for lucky charms are in full swing at Shirayamahi*me Shrine in Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture, which will accept New Year's visits from the end of this month.

Shirayamahi*me Shrine is the birthplace of about 3,000 Hakusan shrines nationwide, and about 200,000 people visit every year for New Year's visits.

At the shrine, in order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, we have decided to accept the first visit of the new year from the 22nd of this month, called "Koshunmoude", and the preparation work is in full swing.

In the preparation work, women called 'maihime' gathered and packed 'damage arrows' one by one in a bag.

In addition, we were also packing boxes for "Shouundako", which depicts next year's "Uh" rabbit jumping towards the moon.

The shrine is calling for dispersed worship so that the first three days of the new year will not be concentrated on the day.

Nene Nomura, a dancer, said, "I'm making it while hoping that everyone will be happy and healthy next year."

Shinto priest Tenzen Tanaka said, "I'm still worried about the new coronavirus, but I'd like to take proper measures and prepare to welcome everyone."
