Prohibited list of online sales of drugs released
According to the "Administrative Measures", drugs that are subject to special management by the country, such as vaccines, blood products, narcotic drugs, psychotropic drugs, medical toxic drugs, radioactive drugs, and pharmaceutical precursor chemicals, are not allowed to be sold on the Internet. On November 30, in the "List" issued by the State Food and Drug Administration, in addition to the above-mentioned drugs that are not allowed to be sold online, two types of drugs, medical institution preparations and traditional Chinese medicine formula granules, have been explicitly added, which has attracted the attention of the industry.
It is understood that medical institution preparations refer to the fixed prescription preparations that are routinely prepared and used by medical institutions according to the clinical needs of the unit, also known as in-hospital preparations; traditional Chinese medicine formula granules are prepared by extracting and concentrating single Chinese herbal pieces according to traditional standards. It is a granule for clinical prescription of traditional Chinese medicine.
"In-hospital preparations are experimental results within the hospital, and can only be used by prescriptions from doctors in the hospital. There is no basis for comprehensive promotion. There is a precedent for the suspension of online sales of hospital preparations.

A person from a third-party platform company for online sales of medicines, who did not want to be named, told reporters, "The inability to sell Chinese medicine formula granules online will indeed have a little impact on the company. We are also tracking the policy to see if more rules will be issued in the future."
