The anger is not empty on the side of the general practitioners of Vendée.

After a first strike last Friday, they announced that it would continue this Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd December, reports Le Journal du Pays Yonnais.

Cabinets will therefore remain closed for these two days and discussions should take place with the population and political decision-makers.

In a press release sent to the local newspaper, the Confederation of French Medical Unions and the General Practitioners of Vendée expressed their demands.

Money and staff savings

They deplore “increasingly dispersed resources, to the detriment of an organized system, supported by Social Security, which must guarantee equal access to care for all.

» Practitioners want more financial and human resource savings.

They consider that “many off-ground teleconsultations do not justify reimbursement by health insurance;

the complementary health system is costly and creates inequalities;

immediate care centers are multiplying without coordination;

installation aids are illegible and poorly targeted…”
