The 14th Straits Forum·Chen Jinggu Cultural Festival opened in Linshui Palace, Gutian County, Ningde City, Fujian Province on November 28. Believers from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gathered in the ancestral temple in a combination of "online + offline" to pray for blessings and share friendship .
In front of the golden statue of Chen Jinggu, the sacrificial personnel followed the traditional etiquettes such as offering incense, offering three animals, offering nobles three times, paying homage to sacrificial texts, performing "three kowtows and nine obeisances" rituals, and offering dances and offering sacrifices. .
The solemn and solemn Suncheon Virgin Sacrifice Ceremony kicked off the cultural festival.
Linshui's wife, Chen Jinggu, is known as the "protector of women and children" who "saves childbirth, protects fetuses, and blesses the people". Gutian Linshui Palace is the ancestral temple dedicated to Linshui's wife, Chen Jinggu.
According to statistics, there are currently more than 4,000 Linshui Palace Fenling Temples scattered all over the world, with 120 million believers.
Among them, there are more than 400 temples dedicated to Chen Jinggu in Taiwan, more than 3,000 temples dedicated to Chen Jinggu, and more than 10 million believers.
Chen Jinggu's golden body toured Taiwan three times in 2009, 2014 and 2019.
The organizer hopes to use the Chen Jinggu Cultural Festival as a link to further inherit and carry forward the Chen Jinggu culture, so that compatriots on both sides of the strait can get closer; to further deepen compatriots on both sides of the strait and friends from all walks of life at home and abroad to understand Ningde, to expand exchanges at a higher starting point, deepen cooperation in a wide range of fields.
