Amid concerns about the simultaneous epidemic of the new coronavirus and influenza, a university in Narashino City, Chiba Prefecture started on the 29th to vaccinate both students and faculty members at the same time.

This initiative has been taking place since the 29th at the inoculation venues set up by Chiba Institute of Technology on two campuses in Narashino City.

At the venue, students and faculty members were given the fourth workplace vaccination against the Omicron strain of the new coronavirus, and at the same time, they were also vaccinated against influenza. That's it.

In addition, to prevent vaccination errors, each vaccination venue is set up in a separate building.

According to the university, this initiative is expected to complete both vaccinations for about 1,200 students and faculty members by December 4th.

A fourth-year female student said, "It's helpful to have the cost covered, and I think it's efficient to be vaccinated at the same time."

Satoshi Fukue, general manager of Chiba Institute of Technology, said, "We decided to implement it because there is no problem with two vaccines at the same time. It will be an important time for exams and employment in the future, so please use it. I want to."
