This couple set themselves a huge challenge: to draw the biggest bike possible with their GPS track!

To do this, Arianna, Daniel and their dog Zola set off in the summer of 2019 from the French village of Vy-lès-Lure.

Their journey lasted 131 days – in the saddle, but three years from start to finish –, made them travel 7,237 kilometers through seven countries and climb 71,000 meters of elevation gain (the equivalent of eight ascents of Everest)!

“We need more infrastructure for cycling”

But beware, this challenge is not free since Arianna and Daniel follow an ecological approach: “We want to send two concrete messages through this trip, explains Daniel.

One is the idea that people can use bicycles instead of cars for short trips.

The other is for political leaders to develop more cycling infrastructure.

With their journey, the couple hopes to have awakened certain ecological consciences and shown the importance of the bicycle as a means of transport.
