A Japanese man wants to immortalize himself in the Guinness Book of Records with soap bubbles.

For this purpose, "Uncle Soap Bubble", as local media call him, made a kind of garland rope with 70 loops attached, which he filled with soapy water in a park in his hometown of Tokushima on Japan's smallest main island, Shikoku.

The garland has a length of exactly 14.31 meters and is thus almost two meters longer than that of the current world record holder from Great Britain, the local newspaper Tokushima Shimbun proudly reported.

When the long garland was lifted with the help of poles, large soap bubbles came out of the loops and flew across the lawn, to the delight of onlookers.

Well, according to the report, "Uncle Bubble" is looking forward to the official confirmation of his world record.
