A 16-year-old went on Sunday afternoon to the Argenteuil police station (Val-d'Oise) where he presented himself as the author of the recent murder of the 14-year-old minor in the Yvelines, said the Versailles prosecutor to AFP.

The suspect, who has been taken into custody, is from Coignières, where a teenager from the nearby town of Maurepas died after being punched in the face during a brawl between two rival gangs on Saturday night in Sunday, said the prosecutor, Maryvonne Caillibotte.
