This event was planned by Kurashiki City to commemorate the story of mystery writer Masafumi Yokomizo, who wrote a novel about the great detective Kosuke Kindaichi when he was evacuated to what is now Mabi-cho, Kurashiki City for three years from the end of the Pacific War. Did.

On the 26th, which was held for the first time in three years, 100 fans from all over the country gathered, dressed as Kosuke Kindaichi in a kimono and a hakama, and "Saki Inugami" who covered his face with a white mask.



Participants paraded about 5 km from JR Kiyone Station to Mabicho, which is the model of the station where Kindaichi got off in "Honjin Murder Case" which Yokomizo announced when he lived in Mabicho.



They also enjoyed watching a skit in which local people recreated a scene from the novel, and taking commemorative photos in front of the house Yokomizo had evacuated to.



A man in his 40s who participated from Oita Prefecture pretending to be Kindaichi said, "It's fun to think that Yokomizo used to walk here, and it's fun to feel like you've slipped back in time."
