They were only seven but enough to paralyze the already saturated traffic.

This Friday morning around 8:30 a.m., a handful of activists from the Last Renovation environmental movement blocked access to the Fourvière tunnel in Lyon, sitting on the traffic lanes.

Dressed in fluorescent vests and lined up behind a thick banner, the activists demanded a real energy renovation plan for buildings considered "thermal sieves", claiming to belong to "the last generation capable of preventing a societal collapse".

This punch operation – the second in two weeks – was short-lived.

The militants were dislodged by the police after fifteen minutes.
