The wife of a male Kinki Local Finance Bureau employee who committed suicide after being involved in the falsification of documents by the Ministry of Finance has demanded compensation from ex-Finance Bureau Chief Sagawa, who is said to have led the falsification, saying she wanted to know the truth about her husband's death. In a civil trial, the Osaka District Court did not recognize the former director's personal liability for compensation and dismissed his wife's lawsuit.

Masako, the wife of Toshio Akagi (54 years old at the time), an employee of the Kinki Local Finance Bureau who committed suicide four years ago after being involved in falsifying the Ministry of Finance's approval documents regarding Moritomo Gakuen, said, "I want to know the truth about my husband's death. ” and filed a civil lawsuit seeking compensation from the government and former director of the Financial Bureau Nobuhisa Sagawa.



Of these, the trial with the country ended in December last year without questioning the parties involved in the falsification because the country suddenly took the procedure to fully accept the request.



In the lawsuit with former director Sagawa, who was left behind, the former director's side argued that ``it is an established precedent that the government bears the liability for compensation for acts in the course of duty, and the individual civil servants do not take responsibility.'' was asked to leave.



In the ruling on the 25th, presiding judge Akira Nakao of the Osaka District Court rejected Masako's lawsuit without acknowledging former Director Sagawa's personal liability for compensation.
