After the adoption of a resolution that calls Russia a "sponsor of terrorism", the European Commission has begun to develop the ninth package of sanctions.

The world looked at it with a smirk.

The Chinese have published a cartoon showing Europe's noose energy crisis tightening as it chases new restrictions.

I am often asked what is wrong with them, what kind of suicidal tendencies the leaders of this European Union have, why they are dragging their own economy to the bottom in some kind of frenzied frenzy, as if they still believe that this can break Russia.

The answer is relatively simple.

They live in another, illusory world.

Europe, as we know it now, appeared on the map thanks to the peace concluded by the USSR, the USA and Great Britain.

And she had a honeymoon of rapid development, when new markets were needed, when production was scattered around the world in order to reduce costs.

But the coronavirus has shown that free borders are no longer so good, because of the freedom of movement, the virus spread very quickly throughout the continent.

At the same time, there were no masks, and there were no simple drugs like paracetamol.

Transport logistics was disrupted, it was no longer possible to bring from our factory from afar.

Each country suddenly remembered that it has its own borders, in some places the operation of the "Schengen" was suspended for a while, its own different rules were introduced, and so on.

They fought for protection.

It turned out that the sanitary security of the country is an important thing and cannot be given into the hands of globalism.

Europe made the same mistake in the field of energy.

For the last 20 years in France, for example, they thought that this area should be amenable to market mechanisms, that competition is needed, even artificially introduced, that state intervention is harmful.

Politicians sold off strategic industries to the Americans, such as the production of turbines for generators in nuclear power plants.

But now it turned out that energy is the basis of the sovereignty of each country, if it wants to be sovereign at all.

Globalization has been paused, forces and political movements are waking up, which are tightening precisely national rhetoric, remembering that there are peoples living according to certain sets of rules within certain borders, and that outside the borders, even within the European Union, there are neighbors, who often have very different interests.

Take the same Germany.

After all, she always doubted European integration, but she needed it to forget about the painful past, and now she needs it to survive in the future.

Berlin also tightened its rhetoric and began to pursue its policy within the EU in its own interests, which irritated France.

France is still very passive in everything, it still lives on the idea of globalism, which was preached by one of the founding fathers of the EU, an international banker who lived in London from the age of 18, an admirer of the Anglo-Saxon world and the idea of Atlanticism Jean Monnet.

French companies founded three centuries ago are ashamed of being French and call themselves international.

Emmanuel Macron, during his first election campaign, said that there is no French culture, there is just a certain culture in France, open to everything foreign, read globalist.

When the European Constitution was being drafted, Valéry Giscard d'Estaing suggested adding a link to the roots at the very beginning, indicating that this is a Christian civilization.

But Chirac's France said: no, it's not good to talk about roots, Europe is secular, without borders, open to the whole world.

And now, having received a migration crisis for this, which still cannot figure out how to solve it for 27 heads, she also received the problem of Islamization, mixed with naive blind tolerance.

European - who is this?

I don't think he knows either.

The Frenchman goes to Rome and speaks with the locals in clumsy English, they answer him the same.

Is this Europe?

With its exorbitantly bloated bureaucratic apparatus both in terms of staff and powers?

How did it happen that the European Commission, which, in theory, should be some kind of secretary of the European Council (after all, it is he who regularly gathers the heads of states that are members of the union), how has this secretary now turned into a manager?

Head Ursula von der Leyen intimidates countries with a checkbook.

I don't like your behavior - I won't give you money.

Hungary, Poland.

We will look at the results of the elections in Italy, if anything, we have mechanisms for how to influence all this.

And this is said by a person whom no one elected at all, she was simply appointed to this post, put there.

But in the wake of globalization, she felt like a supranational queen and treasurer of 27 countries at once.

Europe is already dizzy, it does not understand the world in which it lives, does not understand that it has changed, it continues to act in accordance with the logic of the past world, which no longer exists.

European leaders relaxed a lot, delegated a lot of powers to Brussels, relieved themselves of responsibility, thinking that in such unpretentious conditions, when everything is decided for you somewhere, they will be able to live forever.

That's why they didn't see the new world.

The main thesis in favor of globalization is that the more trade between countries, the less wars, but in fact the opposite is true: competition for markets increases so much that countries are ready to go to military conflicts in order to advance their interests, and they occur all over the world, even if we take environmental issues.

God be with her, with the planet, we need to build another plant here.

Yes, and all this green European agenda is also lobbying for some interests and pushing others aside.

And what will happen to the planet - yes, the dog knows him, but we will earn.

Countries such as China or the United States understand very clearly where their sphere of interest lies, and they are doing everything to firmly occupy this niche.

Look at least at the contracts for the reconstruction of Iraq's infrastructure after the war.

Big money.

Every single tender was won by the Americans, the French also participated, but did not receive a single one.

Take the submarine scandal - France was thrown out of the new strategic Asia-Pacific alliance AUKUS in military-technical cooperation.

In Africa, France is losing its positions, it is being forced out, and out of impotence, it writes off everything on the predatory policy of Russia.

But Russia is defending its interests, and whose interests are France defending today, when many areas are in decline, if not in a deplorable state, and foreign policy, contrary to sound logic, is subject to the influence of the convulsing globalist world?

At the APEC summit, Macron said so bluntly that the world needs a single global order.

I will continue this thought with Blinken's October words - the world must remain under the leadership of the United States.

Where is Europe in this equation?

It has already been slapped in the face with industry and business fleeing the continent to China and America, in the form of exorbitant energy costs, possible blackouts in the winter, economic recession, and so on.

It is not surprising that against this background, globalization is paused, those forces will wake up that will begin to promote a return to borders, nations, countries, own production, politics, technologies.

And a paradigm shift will inevitably occur, the only question is whether it will come from above or through rebellion from below.

The dream dragged on, but the awakening is already beginning.
