With the return of global tourism activity, especially after overcoming the “Covid-19” pandemic and the abolition of travel restrictions in most countries of the world, cultural tourism has re-imposed itself in the international tourism market, as its associated tourist attractions such as archaeological sites, cultural places, festivals and museums have recovered. To a large extent, it has regained its main position as one of the fastest growing sectors of the tourism industry, and today it again contributes to nearly 40% of all types of tourism activity around the world.

The National Tourism Strategy 2031, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, embodies the vision of the wise leadership aimed at raising the country’s status as the best tourist identity around the world, and consolidating its position as a leading tourist destination. And based on tourism diversity, by taking advantage of the unique advantages and characteristics of the seven emirates of the country.

Tourism diversity here is the creation of new, diverse and unique destinations supported by a developed infrastructure, and strengthening its position as a tributary to the economy and an incentive for more work and investment.

And if cultural tourism focuses on archaeological attractions as well as cultural products, then the UAE offers a unique mixture of tangible and intangible heritage, supported by the element of contemporary and even future culture. in foot;

And if we add to this that it is a leading destination for tourism in general, and an environment that attracts tourists with a world-class level, then cultural tourism provides an exceptional opportunity to enrich the experiences of visitors and take them to new worlds that combine past and present, and mix entertainment with culture within a harmonious framework that is motivated by adventure and filled with happiness and pleasure.

At the same time, it is considered an essential pillar in creating more job opportunities, whether those related to hotels, restaurants, souvenir shops and other facilities, or those related to organizing tourist trips and providing guides and translators, and the same applies to many other economic sectors such as the building and construction sector that specializes in restoration And the maintenance of archaeological sites, and let's not forget here the digital innovations in this field, which will open a wide field for many related applications and software, such as archaeological portals on the Internet, digital models that simulate cultural sites, virtual museums and many others.

It is worth mentioning here that cultural tourism includes the cultural and tourist dimensions, and at the same time contributes to protecting them by enhancing the community’s participation in preserving and caring for these components by showing their historical and cultural importance on the one hand, and the extent of their interaction with the surrounding natural environment, which also rises In its active role in attracting tourists and attracting investments, it links culture and heritage, introduces everyone to activities, festivals and events, and highlights the important role that museums play as a historical record that testifies to the ancient identity of the state in general.

Most importantly, it acquaints all mankind with the heritage of our fathers and grandfathers, and reveals to them the secrets of the successive civilizations on our good land.
