A Catholic priest caught having sex with two dominatrixes on the altar of his church in Louisiana, United States, has pleaded guilty to obscenity.
The 39-year-old man received a three-year suspended sentence and will be monitored during that time, according to a report by FOX 8 New Orleans.
He also has to pay a $1,000 fine.
According to his defense attorney, the priest had already paid $8,000 to the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
Archbishop Gregory Aymond had previously declared the affected altar desecrated and ordered it to be burned and replaced with a new one.
He also suspended the priest from service;
On top of that, a canonical procedure for removal from the priesthood is running against the man, which must be decided in the Vatican.
The convict was caught red-handed on September 30, 2020 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pearl River.
A passerby saw through a window how the priest was working with the two prostitutes on the altar and called the police.
In addition to sex toys, they also found equipment that indicated that the trio wanted to film their actions.
The two prostitutes had already been sentenced to suspended sentences in July for vandalism in a public facility.
