No more drip use.

After an improvement in the situation in Puy-de-Dôme, the prefect of the Department decided last Friday to end the restrictions on the use of water which had been running since the spring of 2022, reports France 3 Auvergne Rhône Alpes.

Favorable conditions

The measure was taken in consultation with the 49 members of the departmental water committee after several observations.

The flows of the rivers of the department passed above the alert thresholds, and several of them even exceeded the threshold of vigilance.

The precipitation of November 14 and 15 also contributed to this improvement.

In addition, these conditions should continue, according to a press release from the prefecture: “the weather forecast for the days and weeks to come is favorable, in particular the forecast of some precipitation at the end of week 46 and significantly at the start of week 47. », corresponding to the period from 19 to 23 November.

The lifting of restrictions also concerns the Cher and Allier basins, coordinating departments on the interdepartmental basins.
