Late at night on the 21st, there was a fire that burned down a house in Shimonita Town, Gunma Prefecture, and two people were found dead from the burnt ruins.

The police are confirming that they have lost contact with a couple in their 80s and 70s who live in this house.

Around 11:00 pm on the 21st, in a two-story wooden house in Aokura, Shimonita-cho, Gunma Prefecture, a person who passed by by car reported to the fire department that ``a flame was coming out from the second floor of the building''.



The fire was extinguished after about two hours, but about 64 square meters of the house burned down, and two people were found dead on the first floor of the house.



According to the police, two people, an 84-year-old husband and a 75-year-old wife, live in this house, but they have not been able to contact them after the fire, so they are confirming.



The site is about 1.5 kilometers southwest of the Shimonita Town Hall, where houses are lined up along the prefectural road, and the police will investigate the cause of the fire in detail by inspecting the site with the fire department.
