Louise Mushikiwabo says she is happy that the Francophonie summit will finally be held in Tunisia after two postponements.
For her, even if the political situation on the spot is not acceptable in the eyes of certain political actors, "profound" reforms have taken place.
The Secretary General of La Francophonie also says she is disturbed by the series of coups in French-speaking Africa, believing that they are a factor of instability but also obstacles to economic development.
She denies that the OIF remained in the background on the Chadian file.
Concerning a possible suspension of Chad by the OIF, she noted that her organization generally follows what the African Union does.
Moreover, she rejects the argument that the OIF is less engaged than in the past on the issue of human rights, stating that it has brought a Rwandan approach to these issues.
She emphasizes that decisions are made by Heads of State and Government.
