Sandooq Al Watan will organize the “Creative Production in National Identity” forum, next Monday, at the National Archives and Library in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
The forum, which is being held under the patronage and presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sandooq Al Watan, is attended by a number of intellectual, cultural and artistic leaders in the UAE, in addition to a large number of publishers, creators, artists, screenwriters, directors, cinematographers, playwrights, media professionals, academics and researchers, as part of their efforts. The fund continues to strengthen the national identity in the community, especially with regard to the new generations.
Cognitive products
The forum is the beginning of knowledge productions that can enrich the cognitive content of the national identity, with renewed innovations in various fields of creative work. The Fund is also working to come up with a joint mechanism of action between the Fund and the parties concerned with scientific and literary production related to the national identity, Emirati culture and values, including citizenship, belonging, history and national symbols. And the Arabic language, with the aim of enriching and strengthening this production in its various formats (paper, electronic) and its various forms (stories, music, film materials and media, drama, academics).
The Director General of Sandooq Al-Watan, Yasser Al-Gergawi, said that organizing the “Creative Production in National Identity” forum aims to enhance creativity and innovation, empower the country’s youth from the private sector, and strengthen the national identity.
He explained that Sandooq Al Watan sees in the forum knowledge productions, and an opportunity to meet with leading writers, thinkers, publishers and creators, to search for a common vision for cooperation in the future in order to achieve the Fund’s goals in everything related to national identity, in addition to the Fund’s interest in sponsoring and supporting creative works that flow in this direction. .

Al-Gergawi expressed his deep appreciation to all the creators participating in the forum, who expressed their absolute readiness to attend the forum and fully cooperate with the Fund to achieve its goals, expressing his hope that this forum will be a new starting point in the direction of the Fund achieving its goals by strengthening national identity, at various levels.
Al-Gergawi pointed out that the project “Producing creative works in the field of Emirati identity and culture” falls within the third field of work of Sandooq Al-Watan, which is the promotion of national identity and Emirati culture. The framework of the project, to produce a variety of creative works, characterized by quality, sobriety and dazzling, whether through paper or digital media, and other types of cognitive, literary, artistic and intellectual creativity, stressing that the role of Sandooq Al Watan will include providing support and sponsorship in these productions;
Publishing, distributing and holding public meetings about it. Artworks will also be displayed for the public to enjoy.

Regarding the most important axes that the "Creative Production in National Identity" forum will adopt in its various sessions, Al-Gergawi stressed that the forum will focus on three main axes, to be discussed and put forward ideas and creative projects around them, which are Emirati values and the Arabic language, heritage, history and national symbols, and good citizenship and community cohesion. All of which are vital points that contribute to strengthening the national identity of individuals and groups, and the forum will consider what the participating plaintiffs can present.
