From Milan to Paris, environmental activists are attacking works of art.

This Friday in the French capital, they sprayed paint on a sculpture by Charles Ray, a major figure in contemporary American sculpture.

The environmental movement "Last renovation", whose activists have been mobilizing for several weeks in France by blocking roads, interrupting shows or matches, claimed responsibility for this action on Twitter.

The sculpture "Horse and Rider", representing a man on horseback and located on the forecourt of the Bourse du commerce in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, was sprayed with orange paint.

Aruanu, 26, and Rachel, 20, citizens supporting Last Renovation, threw orange paint on Charles Ray's "Horse and Rider" statue at the Paris Bourse de Commerce.
