COP 27 gives way to the World Cup.

While the 27th UN climate conference in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt is playing extra time until Saturday, the FIFA World Cup in Qatar is following suit on Sunday 20 November.

The environment is also one of the challenges of the world.

Many people denounce an "ecological aberration" given the construction of infrastructure, the air conditioning of open-air stadiums, or even plane flights in the region...

The first country in the Arab world to organize a World Cup, Qatar is also strongly criticized for its human rights violations, in particular vis-à-vis foreign workers, almost reduced to slavery, women, sexual minorities... Added to that suspicions of corruption, calls for a boycott are increasing.
