The training that the Ground Self-Defense Force has been conducting since October last year for senior SDF officers working for the Ministry of Defense in Tokyo, and 10 people participated on the 18th.
An outside lecturer who is familiar with measures against harassment such as sexual harassment and power harassment was invited to the training, and explained that harassment in the name of training and guidance is not acceptable.
Afterwards, the executives shared their thoughts on harassment countermeasures, etc., and opinions were expressed such as the need to change the teaching method according to the values of the recipient, although it was commonplace to use harsh language in the past. rice field.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the number of consultations on harassment received from SDF personnel and administrative officials has been increasing year by year, exceeding 2,300 last year, and in August this year, a former Ground SDF officer was affiliated. He claimed that he had been sexually assaulted in the unit, and requested to prevent a recurrence.
In response to this, the Ministry of Defense will set up a meeting of experts this month to fundamentally review harassment measures.
In addition, in order to investigate the actual situation of harassment, special defense inspections are being conducted for all organizations, and after investigating the sexual assault of former Ground Self-Defense Force personnel, we will punish those involved.
