With his usual humor, the host of the
Tonight Show
wanted to put things right in his presentation monologue of the show.
“First of all, I'm not about to die.
I am in excellent health, I have a lot to live for and I have two little girls.
I'm going to live a long time, so you don't need to worry about me,” he said.
The comedian nevertheless underlined his astonishment at not having received any news from his relatives in the face of this rumor which spread like wildfire.
“They didn't think it was going to take off the way it did.
