Jimmy Fallon is alive and well, no offense to the smart guys who circulated the announcement of his death on Twitter with the hashtag #RIPJIMMYFALLON.

With his usual humor, the host of the

Tonight Show

wanted to put things right in his presentation monologue of the show.

“First of all, I'm not about to die.

I am in excellent health, I have a lot to live for and I have two little girls.

I'm going to live a long time, so you don't need to worry about me,” he said.

The comedian nevertheless underlined his astonishment at not having received any news from his relatives in the face of this rumor which spread like wildfire.

“They didn't think it was going to take off the way it did.

But then it just took off.

People started to believe it.

It's just weird”, he noted before singing the anthem “I am alive” accompanied by a gospel choir.

Elon Musk's reaction

Before having to confirm live that he was indeed alive, Jimmy Fallon had asked Elon Musk, the new boss of Twitter, for help.

“Elon, can you solve this problem?

#RIPJimmyFallon,” he wrote.

But the billionaire, not keen on moderation and who brutally dismissed half of the social network's teams, preferred to kick in touch... The next morning, he replied "Solve what?

“, before taking the trouble, a little later, to make humor in turn.

"Wait a second, how do we know you're not an alien body thief pretending to be Jimmy!"

?

Say something only the real Jimmy would say,” he shot back.

Obviously, if the debate is at this level, it is not only fake news that has a bright future ahead of it!

We are entering another dimension!
