The Iranian director Ali Asgari had to fight to get film support, and to get his film "Until tomorrow" approved by the country's censorship authority.

- We had to compromise to get the film made.

We had to change the script a bit.

But I think I found a way to tell the story anyway, says Asgari.

The film was shot two years ago, but feels even more relevant now since the protests in Iran.

- The main character is a young woman who is trying to find herself and she fights against a patriarchal society.

She seeks her independence and her freedom, so it connects very much to what is happening in Iran now, says director Ali Asgari.

"Until tomorrow" will be shown at the Stockholm Film Festival.
