Trot, a former member of TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot', was embroiled in suspicion of receiving preferential treatment while serving in the military when appearing on the air.

On the 10th, the Segye Ilbo raised suspicions that Kim Hee-jae was in military status when he appeared in 'Mr.

In addition, Kim Hee-jae signed a contract for broadcasting entertainment activities with Mr. Trot Cultural Industries Co., Ltd. on November 23, 2019, which is four months earlier than the date of Kim Hee-jae's discharge from Haegu on March 17, 2020.

Considering that 'Mr. Trot' ends on March 14, 2020, it can be pointed out that Kim Hee-jae signed a contract for commercial activities with the private sector even though he was a military member of the Ministry of National Defense three days before his discharge.

According to Article 30 of the Basic Act on the Status and Service of Military Personnel (Prohibition of Profitable Activities and Concurrent Positions), he shall not engage in any business for profit other than military service.

In response, Kim Hee-jae's agency, Greenbam E&M, explained, "Kim Hee-jae reported the management contract and appearance fee to the military band at the time. Also, the broadcast appearance, such as going out with a military band executive, was carried out in consultation with the military band."

However, even if Kim Hee-jae moved under the report of the military band, it seems that he could not avoid criticism that he was engaged in commercial activities as a soldier.
